ユダヤ人のアニメファンの多さも確認してもらえただろうか。欧米に居住しているユダヤ人の間では早くからアニメ・漫画は普及していたのだけど、本国イスラエルでの普及はずっと遅れた。イスラエルでは近年急速にアニメ・漫画・ゲーム・フィギュア・コスプレ等が浸透し始めていてる。

とはいえイスラエルでのオタク生活には大問題がある。そう、兵役義務だ。イスラエルでは男女ともに兵役の義務があり拒否したら懲役刑となる。兵役を終えた人はオタク趣味を捨ててしまうことが多い（これは世界共通の現象）。

ただし女性の場合は裏方の非戦闘部署に配置されることが普通なので兵役を終えてもオタク趣味を維持するケースが多い。結局イスラエルのオタク社会の将来はユダヤ腐女子の肩にかかっている。ちなみに聖書ネタのやおい同人誌がやたらに多いのがイスラエルの特徴。

「イエス×ユダ」で痴情のもつれからユダが裏切るとか「ダビデ×ヨナタン」の超濃厚カップルとかぶっとんだ内容である。私も噂に聞いているだけなのでぜひ実物を見てみたい。見たいぞ！
